Challenges & Solutions
Working with SAP Spartacus Framework Limitations
Challenge: The out-of-the-box framework didn’t offer much room for customization, which made adapting the UI challenging.
Solution: I worked within the system’s limitations to design an MVP that maximized the layout and interactions. I teamed up with developers to push the framework as far as it would go while still delivering an effective user experience.
Ensuring the Designs Were Technically Feasible
Challenge: The designs had to be practical within the technical capabilities of the platform, without compromising the user experience.
Solution: I collaborated closely with developers from the start, continuously evaluating feasibility and adjusting designs to ensure a perfect balance between user needs and platform constraints.
Incorporating Feedback from Stakeholders
Challenge: Different teams—business, marketing, and technical—had their own priorities, making it tricky to align everyone.
Solution: I facilitated workshops and feedback sessions that helped integrate business goals while keeping the user experience at the forefront.
Building a Scalable Design System
Challenge: I needed to create a design system that would maintain consistency across markets while being flexible enough to support localization needs.
Solution: I contributed to the Design Language System by building reusable components and clear guidelines to make future development easier and more consistent across regions.
Resolving UI/UX Bugs and Risks
Challenge: There were ongoing UX issues and technical bugs that needed to be addressed across several iterations.
Solution: I carried out extensive QA testing, worked closely with developers to resolve issues, and ensured a seamless experience for users both before and after the launch.
